  • You buy your own franchise for your specific suburb in a town/city.

  • You decide whether you want the franchise for Kindergarten, Primary School or High School.

  • If you want all three you have to purchase all three franchises (if it is available).

  • In bigger cities more than one tutor will be allocated to a specific suburb/part of the city.

  • Buying your franchise secures your franchise and space to you.

  • Because this is our first year in the industry we sell franchises for the low price of R500 each.

  • This secures your suburb and provides you with marketing material to set up and get going.

  • You will also receive a personalized Kahuna Kidz e-mail address.

  • You do marketing at schools, homeschools and communities in your area.

  • You will receive all necessary documentation to sign with prospective parents of your students.

  • You can also source students on online platforms.

  • You receive a certificate of your franchise.

  • Marketing material in order to get you started.

  • Personalized Kahuna Kidz e-mail address and get mentioned on our Facebook and Instagram pages.

  • You enter the private Registered Tutor network with the rest of the tutors.

  • No! When you sign on you choose which section you want to tutor.

  • Your lesson plans will be supplied to you once you’ve made your monthly payment.

  • Monthly payments to keep your franchise active is R200 and includes all your lessons.

  • If you bought more than one section to tutor you pay R200 for each section.

  • We are currently tutoring children from 3 years old to young adults to the age of 18 (matric).

  • We have Afrikaans, English and Setswana lessons available.

  • We will add isiXhosa as another language in the near future.

  • Tutors sign an agreement with parents to receive their R200 tutoring fee in advance.

  • The suggested price is R200 per month per learner per language.

  • The tutoring fee goes directly to you, the tutor.

  • If you sign on 10 students from 4 schools to tutor one language for one hour each week, you will work an average of 16 hours per month and receive R200 x 40 students = R8 000 minus your admin fee of R200 equals to R7 800 per month in your pocket.

  • Yes! The more grades and languages you tutor, the better your income will be.

  • Just remember that there is an amount of R200 payable per section that you are tutoring.

  • Our main focus is to teach through playing games and giving lots of individual attention.

  • We prefer no class to be bigger than 15 students.

  • Each lesson is prepared to occupy the students for approximately 1 hour per week.

  • The younger students will be playing more and singing and learning new songs in that specific language.

  • Yes, each group of children differs from others, you may adjust your lesson according to their capabilities, as long as you stay on the basic principles.

  • We make use of the CAPS curriculum as a baseline for our lessons, but because the curriculum is so congested, we focus on in-depth major practices of the language.

  • This is an add-on to what the students learn in class.

  • You do not need any experience.

  • However, you will be required to either produce your SACE registration certificate or police clearance to us. (This is according to the South African law).

  • If you plan on doing online tutoring, you do not need the above documentation.

  • Yes! We will welcome you on our Facebook page.

  • Thereafter you will be supplied with the necessary files to create your own Facebook page.

  • You will also receive some marketing documentation to start up your franchise.

  • You can go and print some pamphlets and posters at your own cost.

  • When you purchase a franchise you take the responsibility of your own business.

  • The more hours you work, the better your income will be.

  • We give no set amount of hours to work per week.

  • You just have to make sure that your franchise is up and running within two months since signing on.

  • Students will get an attendance certificate every term.

  • You can compile a basic report on their performance in the classes.

  • A stationery list before the lessons starts

  • And a book cover specifically designed for their Kahuna books.

  • You are not allowed to re-use or re-sell any of the Kahuna Kidz lessons or material.

  • You can only use it for your Kahuna Kidz lessons for the year dated on the lessons.

  • Lessons will adapt to the current curriculum used.

  • We will also take into account feedback from our tutors to improve the structure and functionality of our lessons.

  • We will be adapting with the times so lessons are bound to improve.

  • We are always striving for improvement.

  • Yes! You have to keep on paying the subscription fee of R200 per month per section that you’ve enrolled for.

  • This is to keep you practicing as a Kahuna Kidz’ tutor.

  • You will benefit from all the marketing and improvement we are doing in the company.

  • You will also receive the lessons each month.

  • You may use your own discression.

  • If your lesson takes longer to finalise, you may do the rest of the lesson at a later stage.
